Aviation authorities of CA and Qatar ink multilateral protocol of cooperation in Uzbekistan

Chairperson of the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan Saltanat Tompiyeva participated in a multilateral meeting of aviation authorities of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Qatar in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The sides discussed the issues of cooperation in the field of economic development of aviation transport, the initiatives to raise capacity and increase efficiency, as well as strengthening the existing international agreements in the field of aviation transport.

The meeting ended with signing a multilateral protocol stipulating cooperation within the framework of joint programs and initiatives, implemented under the aegis of the International Civil Aviation Organization. The document also aims at multilateral cooperation under the USOAP/USAP audit programs, ICAO Air Navigation Commission, and ratification of two protocols expanding the membership in the ICAO Council and ICAO ANC.

The heads of aviation authorities noted the importance of long-term and comprehensive cooperation to ensure secure, stable and highly-effective development of the civil aviation.

Earlier, Kazinform reported that Kazakhstan’s airline companies planned to launch direct flights to Budapest, Riga, Vienna and Munich.
