Avenue named after N.Nazarbayev opened in Amman

ASTANA. June 23. KAZINFORM Ceremony of opening of an avenue named after President of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev was held in Amman.

Astana Mayor I.Tasmagambetov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Bauyrzhan Baibek, Kazakh Ambassador to Jordan Bulat Sarsenbayev, Kazakh Minister of Culture Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed, Senator Kuanysh Sultanov, Majilis Deputy Kenzhegali Sagadiyev took part in the ceremony. The Jordanian side was represented by Amman Mayor Omar Ma'ani, Minister of Culture Nabih Shuqum, Senator - Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Industry Hatim Al Halawani, diplomatic corps accredited in Jordan, representatives of the mass media.

The Amman Mayor noted that the friendly relations between King of Jordan Abdullah II and President of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev are an example to follow serving the interests of two states. Taking into consideration the efforts of the Kazakh Leader in strengthening and development of bilateral cooperation and the fact that Astana and Amman are twin-cities, the Greater Amman Municipality Council decided to name one of the central streets of Jordan after the President of Kazakhstan. The Mayor emphasized that this important event will give an impetus to further cooperation between both two states and capital cities Astana and Amman.

Astana Mayor I.Tasmagambetov from behalf of the President and people of Kazakhstan expressed gratitude to the King of Jordan for high attention to the Kazakh Leader. He complimented the friendly relation between two states.

Meetings in the Ministry of Culture, Senate of the Jordanian Parliament were held within the visit as well. The members of the Kazakh delegation were received by King of Jordan Abdullah II.
