Avalanche risk high in Almaty, East Kazakhstan regions

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Avalanche risk remains high in the mountains of Almaty and East Kazakhstan regions, the Almaty emergencies department says.
"Thawing weather may cause avalanches in the mountain areas of Almaty and East Kazakhstan regions on April 1-3," the department said in a statement.
It is highly recommended to avoid venturing into the avalanche prone areas.
