Austrian Airlines to resume non-stop Vienna-Tokyo flights
VIENNA. April 15. KAZINFORM Austrian Airlines will resume direct flights between Vienna and Tokyo again from Saturday, removing a stopover in Seoul that had become necessary after the nuclear events following Japan's earthquake, an airline spokesperson said Friday. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
Radiation experts sent by the airlines to Japan have confirmed that all measurements were currently below regulatory limits, said spokesperson Ursula Berger.
The first non-stop flight to Tokyo will start on Saturday. Four other direct flights will operate between the two cities until Easter Sunday. After that, the airline will offer flights five days a week. A daily shuttle service also is planned after May 2, the airline said. Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com
