Austria keen to cooperate with Central Asian stunner - Kazakhstan

ASTANA. June 11. KAZINFORM Deputies of the Committee for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship under the Senate of the Kazakhstan's Parliament met with Austrian parliamentarian Reinhold Lopatka on Monday (June 11) in Astana.

While discussing further development of the bilateral Kazakh-Austrian relations, the sides noted both Kazakhstan and Austria possessed huge potential for interaction in all spheres of interstate cooperation, Senate's press service reports.

According to Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship Talgatbek Abaidildin, all necessary conditions have been created for further deepening of the political and economic ties.

Mr. Abaidildin also told about the legal work done to improve the investment policy, implement the industrial program, support the innovative activity and develop SME.

R. Lopatka reiterated Austrian parliamentarians' readiness to cooperate with their Kazakhstani colleagues and stressed that contacts between the supreme legislative bodies were of paramount importance, especially in terms of realizing the interstate agreements.

The Austrian parliamentarian met with the Committee for Finance and Budget the same day.

"Kazakhstan and Austria enjoy relations based on the principles of constructive dialogue and mutual trust," Rashit Akhmetov, Chairman of the Committee said.

Having noted that the interparliamentary ties were an important part of the bilateral relations, the Kazakh parliamentarian pointed out that creation of the legal framework of the bilateral cooperation was the priority for his colleagues in Kazakhstan.

R. Akhmetov also informed his Austrian counterpart of how the republican budget was formed and planned, how the state supported the programs of economy diversification, regional development, etc.

According to R. Lopatka, Austria is interested in developing the mutually profitable cooperation with such a successful country as Kazakhstan. "The parliaments of both countries will bend every effort to contribute to this cooperation," he added.
