CANBERRA. November 30. KAZINFORM. Fire bans have been extended across the Australian state of Queensland where power tools are suspected of having sparked a number of blazes; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The Queensland Fire and Rescue Service said on Monday fire bans would remain in place until midnight on December 7 in central and southern Queensland as well as parts of north Queensland.
The ban covers Rockhampton, Cherbourg, Gympie, Bundaberg and the Fraser Coast due to dangerous fire conditions.
Residents are urged to have fire plans in place if they use machinery or power tools which are believed to have caused several blazes over the weekend; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
