Atyrau region bans amateur fishing
ATYRAU. KAZINFORM - Atyrau region has imposed a ban on amateur fishing on the Ural River beginning from April 1 the current year.
"This year the fight against poaching will involve not only local law enforcement community but also police and fish inspection officers from other regions. Anti-poaching campaign will also involve interior forces", said Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Fisheries of the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources Khairbek Musabayev. Eleven mobile and ten stationary posts to be organized in the framework of "Bekire 2014"operation. Eight patrol boats, fourteen small size vessels, six examination vessels and one ship will operate on the Ural River and the Caspian Sea. Helicopters and naval boats of the Border Service of Kazakhstan will be also involved for the protection of the Caspian Sea defined water zones.
