Atyrau gas-chemical complex to be constructed in two stages

ATYRAU. March 17. KAZINFORM /Andrei Sokolov/ The construction of the first integrated gas-chemical complex started in Atyrau region. It capacity will be 1.25 million tons of polyethylene and polypropylene per year.
The total cost of the project is USD 6.3 billion. Due to a lack of funding the process of construction will be divided into two stages.
At a session in the regional akimat the representatives of Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. informed that the first stage would be financed China Eximbank. A USD 1.3 billion loan was signed with this bank.
