ATOM Project unprecedented decisive step towards global nuclear disarmament - Turkish experts

ISTANBUL. April 9. KAZINFORM - On April 8 this year the Kazakh Embassy to Turkey in cooperation with the leading "USAK" Turkish Analytical Center of International Strategic Research (ACISR) held a ‘round table' titled "Kazakhstan foreign policy in the light of the President Nazarbayev's International Initiative", where "ATOM" and "G-Global" projects were presented.

The event joined representatives of scientific and academic community, public and political figures, head of "USAK" ACISR, Kazakh Ambassador to Turkey Z.Tuimebayev and the heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Ankara.

Kazakh Ambassador Z.Tuimebayev informed the participants about the achievements of Kazakhstan in the social and economic, cultural, humanitarian and foreign policy through the prism of the President's Address "Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy": new policy of the successful state." The Ambassador also shared information about international perspectives of initiatives suggested by the Head of Kazakhstan called "ATOM" and "G-Global", outlined the priorities of our country in forming the international dialogue. For this purpose Z. Tuimebayev invited the reps of Turkish academic community to take an active part in the implementation of these projects.

"USAK" Center Vice-president Kamer Kasym highly appreciated the foreign policy initiatives of Nursultan Nazarbayev on global nuclear disarmament "ATOM" and the creation of the "G-Global" site. He pointed out that Kazakhstan is a successful country, which initiatives have been respected in global stage. "Kazakhstan was the initiator of such international integration structures as CIS, SCO, CICA, the Turkic Council and others, and the initiative of Nursultan Nazarbayev like "ATOM Project" is an unprecedented example of fraternal Kazakhstan's decisive step towards global nuclear disarmament. The ideas contained in the "ATOM" and "G-global" projects are not only timely, but also weighty reasoned and justified" concluded K.Kasym.

Reflecting on the possible mechanisms of the projects realization, Turkish experts agreed that the global economic order will become a reality, if it is established by world community. It has been noted that in this respect it is Kazakhstan, which has proven the effectiveness of the chosen path of economic development, and has the right to initiate the global change of this kind.

Turkish experts on their part expressed readiness to support the Kazakh projects.

At the ‘round table' the participants got acquainted with the photo exhibition about Kazakhstan and printed material of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkey in Turkish language, including five-volume edition of selected works by the Kazakh President, "Kazakh-Turkish relations: 20 years of brotherhood and cooperation," books, and brochures with the Address of the President to the people of Kazakhstan, as well as the materials for "ATOM" and "G-Global" projects.
