Astana wants to become Asian city of tourism

ASTANA. December 18. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Committee for Tourism under the Ministry of Industry and Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Igaliyev has participated in the 12th Asia Cooperation Dialogue Ministerial Meeting in Manama, Bahrain, the press service of the committee reports.
Participants adopted the concept of Intra-Asian tourism development within the framework of the event. Its key point is to choose the Asian city of tourism.
The capital of Bahrain - Manama was named the Asian city of tourism in 2014.
According to Mr. Igaliyev, Kazakhstan will go to great lengths in order to secure the coveted status of the Asian city of tourism for Astana in the nearest years.
The status is granted to a candidate city for only 1 year.
