Astana to put into operation about 5 million sq m of housing in coming years

ASTANA. February 9. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ About 5 million square meters of housing will be put into service in Astana in the next three years, Astana Akim Imangali Tasmagambetov told a meeting with residents on Thursday.
According to him, for the past three years Astana launched 4 million square meters of housing (40 thousand apartments).
Presently, housing in Astana is built under two state programs: 2005-2007 and 2008-2010. Under the first program it is still needed to complete construction of two facilities. Under the second program the works run as scheduled.
