Astana to host the 2nd International Mining and Metallurgical Congress
ASTANA. June 14. KAZINFORM The 2nd International mining-metallurgical Congress "Astana Mining & Metallurgical Congress-2011" will take place on July 4-6, 2011, in the "Palace of Independence," Astana, Kazakhstan.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev, other high officials of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and officials of foreign countries, directors of large industrial enterprises, international investors and scientists will participate.
Official partners of the Congress are the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan, the Astana mayor's office, ArcelorMittal, ENRC and KazZinc.
The "Astana Mining & Metallurgical Congress-2011" is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan, Astana Day and Metallurgist Day.
The Congress is a prestigious large-scale event of the mining and metallurgical industry aimed at demonstrating the latest technology-intensive developments and bringing together professionals from many countries for mutually advantageous cooperation.
The mission of the Congress is to expand cooperation between government, business and science in the interest of accelerated innovation and technological breakthroughs in the mining and metallurgical industry.
The Congress is a platform for direct contacts with lead metallurgical and mining companies of Kazakhstanand exchange of experience between the industry representatives. The first Astana Mining & Metallurgical - 2010 Congress was held in June 2010 in Astana and received extensive feedback from the international industrial community.
