Astana to host International Grain Conference
ASTANA. March 25. KAZINFORM On April 1-2, 2010 the capital city of Kazakhstan will host an International Grain Conference. Over 100 delegates from 65 companies and 16 CIS and non-CIS countries have already confirmed their intention to participate in the event, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The conference aims at discussion of the current situation on the grain market and the prospects of its development. "As is known, high yields of crops worldwide led to decline in prices and significant reduction of export of domestic grain. Therefore, the participants of grain market face today a challenge to search for new opportunities for sale of Kazakhstan wheat. From this viewpoint, the conference will play an important role both for the producers and grain traders", a press release reads.
Among the partners of the Grain Conference are the Grain Union of Kazakhstan, Food Contract Corporation NC JSC, APK-Invest Corporation LLP, Glencore International AG and many others.
The event is organized by Kazagromarketing JSC and APK-Inform Information Agency (Ukraine). The Conference is held under the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and KazAgro National Holding JSC.
