Astana to host 2nd session of Expert Group for Key National Indicators in May

ASTANA. March 2. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The second session of the Expert Group for Key National Indicators under the Council of Heads of CIS Supreme Financial Control Bodies will take place in Astana, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Accounting Committee.
The expert group plans to continue work over systematization, generalization and comparative analysis with the use of foreign experience on organization of the audit and effective use of the key national indicators.
The Expert Group for Key National Indicators was created in September 2008. The activity of the group contributes to the implementation of the Council?s regional pilot project within the framework of the Working Group on Key National Indicators of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI). The Kazakh Accounting Committee joined the INTOSAI in 2000. The Accounting Committee is the supreme body of the state financial control, subordinate to the President of Kazakhstan.
INTOSAI is an autonomous, independent and non-political organization. It is a non-governmental organization with special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. At present INTOSAI has 189 Full Members and 3 Associated Members.
