Astana to become a donor of Kazakhstan's budget, says mayor

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The capital city of Kazakhstan - Astana is to become one of the donors of the republican budget, Astana mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov has announced today.
"We are planning to transfer KZT 7.5 billion to the republican budget in 2015, and KZT 17.3 billion - in 2016. Hence, Astana will join the ranks of four regions-donors of the republican budget," Mr. Ismagambetov said at the annual meeting with the population.
According to him, over the past years Astana gradually became a self-sufficient city.
