Astana remembers Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev

ASTANA. May 10. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ Today in Astana the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan jointly with the Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) hold a roundtable devoted to the 88th anniversary of the birth of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
According to the organizers, birthday of Heydar Aliyev on May 10th is the national holiday in Azerbaijan.
"It is a significant day not only for the people of Azerbaijan but also for the Kazakhs for Heydar Aliyev is the great son of the Turkic-speaking people," ENU rector Bakhytzhan Abdraim told.
Andrey Konchalovsky's film about the life of Heydar Aliyev, his role in building the Republic of Azerbaijan was shown during the roundtable.
