Astana presented «Energy of the Future» program at green EXPO-13 in Vienna

ASTANA. April 22. KAZINFORM - At the International Exhibition called green EXPO-13 in Vienna, the Kazakh delegation presented a program of Astana EXPO-2017.

As it is already known, the theme proposed by Kazakhstan at Expo 2017 is "Energy for the future."

In 2017 Kazakhstan will discuss new ways of developing and solving energy problems. EXPO will provide the best world wide energy saving technologies, and new developments in the use of the alternative energy sources.

Astana has already begun preparations for the International specialized exhibition. The country is actively working on the transition to a "green" economy. The government is actively developing alternative energy and other "green" initiatives.

Participation in the green EXPO13 is the ability to learn best practices and knowledge sharing.

Kazakhstan's direction of "Energy of the Future" at the International European exhibition has been presented by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Austria, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the International Organizations in Vienna Abdrakhmanov. He noted that Kazakhstan's participation in the green EXPO13 was a great opportunity to form partnerships in the alternative energy industry. In addition, the exhibition is the most important space for open and fruitful dialogue on the development of future energy.

Betty Williams, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1976, one of the founders of the Community of Peace People, gave a positive assessment of topics for EXPO 2017.

"Kazakhstan has chosen the right path of development, the theme of the international exhibition "Energy for the future" as relevant as ever. The sustainable use of energy today is care about the world community. In 2017, Astana may become a platform to showcase the best of world developments and trends in the industry, " she said.

It should be recalled that November 22, 2012 at the 152nd General Assembly of the International Exhibitions Bureau Astana was chosen the venue for the specialized exhibition EXPO-2017. According to preliminary estimates exhibition in Astana will gather more than 100 states, including about 10 leading international organizations. During the three months of June to September 2017 the international pavilions will be visited from 2 to 3 million people.
