Astana police become more mobile
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Now Astana police have become more mobile. The policemen have started using three-speed bicycles as of July 1, 2014, Kazinform has learnt from astana.kz.
If this type of patrolling proves to be effective in Kazakhstan's capital, the number of bicycles will be increased, and it will be officially introduced for the summer period. The bicycles are mostly used in parks and public gardens in order to prevent and suppress illegal actions, so that citizens and guests of the capital felt safe. It's efficient and easy to use. And it promotes healthy lifestyle. The Russian-made bicycles have three speed regimes and are equipped with GPS navigators. Special light uniform has been designed for policemen, and service caps are substituted by casual caps.
