Astana paid tribute to dead aviators
ASTANA. August 25. KAZINFORM Farewell ceremony for the four dead fliers was held today at the military airfield in Astana.
Family members and dear ones of the dead officers, the overhead personnel of the Kazakh Defense Ministry, Air Defense Forces, co-workers, classmates and the entire staff of the Air Base paid last respects to the dead aviators.
As informed earlier, four members of the crew were killed after Mi-17 helicopter of the Defense Ministry of Kazakhstan crashed in the area of Astana airfield while performing training flights at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday. They are: captain Dossanov Talgat, senior lieutenant Makhambetniyazov Yerkin, senior lieutenant Kassimov Zhanbota and senior lieutenant Mussin Akylbek.
The commission has not yet found out the reasons of the helicopter crash.
The accident is under investigation.
