«Astana Opera» preparing to new ballet season
ASTANA. August 16. KAZINFORM - The State opera and ballet theatre “Astana Opera” presents its new theatrical season of classical dance to residents and guests of the capital, astana.kz reports.
In the new season devotees of classical dance can enjoy the grace and flexibility of ballets stars of the theatre “Astana Opera”. Among them there is an honoured worker of the RoK, laureate of two premia Premio Roma Italy - Madina Basbaeva, honoured worker of the RoK Gaukhar Usina, laureate of the 25th international contest of ballet artists in Bulgaria Aigerim Beketaeva, honoured worker of the RoK Rustem Seibekov, diploma winner of the international ballet contest in Novosibirsk, diploma winner of the VI International contest of Yury Grigorovich “Young ballet of the world” Tair Gatautov, laureate of international contests in France, Russia, Bulgaria and Hungary Serzhan Kaukov.
“With the participation of such talented artists we need to stage performances of the highest professional level. The theatre has already hosted the premiere of the ballet “The Sleeping Beauty” by Yury Grigorovich, and the theatre at once has entered the list of five world theatres of A series, allowing to stage such large-scale ballet performances”, - emphasized the chief ballet-master of “Astana Opera” theatre Tursynbek Nurkaliev.
Spectators can see the following ballet performances: “Rodin” by Boris Eifman, an outstanding ballet-master of modernity, working in neo-classic style, “Romeo and Juliet” staged by Charles Jude, owner of the National Order of the Legion of Honour of France. Scenography and costumes for performances will be made up-to-the-mark, for they are prepared by world’s celebrities such as an outstanding Italian scene-designer Ezio Frigerio, and costume designer will be the owner of Oscar Franca Squarciapino.
