Astana must become center of education, healthcare and culture: N.Nazarbayev
ASTANA. July 3. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ "Astana must become a center of education, healthcare and culture", Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said today at the ceremony of handing over the keys from new apartments in the Akimat.
He stressed that modern hospitals, schools are built in Astana within the medical cluster. International University, conforming the international standards, will be opened in Astana this year.
"New opera house was opened as well. Construction of a concert hall for 3 500 seats will be accomplished soon. New buildings of Kazakh and Russian Drama Theatres and new Opera House are planned to be built in the future", the Head of the State noted.
According to him, "Shabyt" Arts University will provide students with opportunity to study visual art, dance, music and other arts. "You need to be modern, meet modern demands", the President said, addressing to representatives of education, healthcare, culture and sport.
