Astana Medical University scientists awarded grants worth 2 million tenge
ASTANA.December 4. KAZINFORM - Science Foundation «Santo Member of Polpharma Group» awarded two grants of 1 million tenge each to the scientists of the Medical University of Astana for implementation or modification of scientific research in medicine and pharmacy.
«This program is a concrete proof of public-private partnership in the health sector and is primarily aimed at improving the quality of life and health care of Kazakhstani citizens. We intend to further contribute to the development of research capacity of Kazakh scientists»- said General Director of the Foundation Arslan Shakhin.
Grant winners were approved by a commission of well-known in Kazakhstan professors and scientists, its supervisory board was headed by Peter Mildner from Poland.
«Santo Member of Polpharma Group» established «Academic program» in 2013 to support Kazakh scientists subsequent to a memorandum it signed with the capital's Medical University this spring at the Astana Economic Forum.
