Astana leads in population growth among other cities, regions

Kazakhstan population stood at 20,014,575 people, including 12,431,220 urban and 7,583,355 rural residents, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the Telegram channel of the Kazakh Statistics Bureau.
Since the beginning of 2023 the country’s population increased by 247,768 people, including 8,346 migrants.
The highest rates of population growth were reported in Astana – by 5.11 per cent, Almaty – 2.8 per cent and Mangistau region – by 2.40 per cent.
