Astana is studying foreign experience to merge tax and customs services
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - An international conference in Astana is discussing the integration of income and foreign experience to merge tax and customs services, the press service of the State Revenue Committee under the Ministry of Finance informs.
Representatives of the State Revenue Committee and the World Bank's experts negotiate on the functioning of the newly established Committee.
The Conference's participants will discuss the synergies that can be found between the Customs development project and the project on the development of tax administration in respect of IT equipment and software. The integration of these projects will occur with the technical support of the World Bank experts.
In his welcome speech Finance Minister Bakhyt Sultanov stressed that the main course of the new President's address to the people "Nurly Zhol - Path to the Future" is aimed at supporting small and medium business and business activity. Establishing a single committee will generate favorable environment for business and reduce administrative barriers.
The conference will run for two days. During the conference, representatives of State Revenue offices of various countries and international experts will make presentations and take an active part in working groups.
