Astana interested in promotion of dialogue with Lisbon: K.Tokayev

Congratulating P.Bartolo on official entrance into service K.Tokayev expressed assurance that his work in Kazakhstan will promote further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between two states in political, trade, economic and humanitarian fields. He noted that Astana was interested in promotion of dialogue with Lisbon in all spheres and at all levels.

Concerning the further development of Interparliamentary cooperation K.Tokayev emphasized that it was an important part of the political dialogue promoting modernization of lawmaking, democratization and development of the civil society. He invited the Chairman of the Portugal Assembly of the Republic to pay a visit to Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh Speaker informed P.Bartolo on the activity of Kazakhstan connected with the OSCE presidency, holding of the Trans-Asian Parliamentary Forum and measures on economic stabilization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan.

P.Bartolo highly appraised the economic and political achievements of Kazakhstan and said that Portugal supported the Kazakh initiative on holding of the OSCE Summit and others.
