Astana hosts II meeting of foreign student organizations of Kazakhstan

BEIJING. May 2. KAZINFORM - Astana this summer will host the II Meeting of Kazakhstan's foreign student organizations, urged to consolidate an active and progressive Kazakh students.

This was mentioned in a conversation between Kazinform reporter and Galiya Dosmukhambetova, the Vice-president of "Center for International Programs" (CIP) JSC of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan (MES).

According to her, our students, as a rule, live and study abroad for several years being "cut off" from Kazakhstan: "In connection with this the previous year the first Meeting of foreign student organizations of Kazakhstan was organized. During the event we were trying to create a common information platform for the exchange of experience, opinions, and simply introduce students to each other".

"It turned out to be successful. The young people have confirmed it. They exchanged contacts, "overgrown" new connections among foreign student population of Kazakhstan ", said G.Dosmukhambetova.

Then Vice-President said that the highlight of this year Meeting would be its training course format. It is planned to invite the students having more experience in ​​social activities in order for them to conduct training sessions for activists and share their knowledge and experience to become a mentor, and to hold a dialogue.

In addition, at the Meeting there will be a presentation of the Chinese project for consolidation a number of student organizations into a united association.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the international scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Bolashak", recalled the Vice-President of "CIP" JSC of the MES. As further informed by G.Dosmuhambetova, there are provided a number of developments dedicated to the event and some of them have already taken place. Thus, Astana hosted a scientific and practical conference and international educational exhibition. Nowruz was celebrated in several countries. In April the current year the second Quriltai of Kazakh students occurred in China which resulted in the creation of unified Association of Kazakh students in China. In addition there will be a number of exhibitions including the job fair taking place in autumn. There will be presented a project of 20 video lectures made by earlier "Bolashak" graduates who will give their assessments as experts. The presentation will take place in summer 2013 and they will be available on social networks. The final event will be the forum to mark the 20th anniversary of the "Bolashak" scholarship with the participation of Nursultan Nazarbayev as it is expected.

It bears to remind that last year Astana hosted the first Forum of foreign student organizations of Kazakhstan. Then the Nazarbayev University gathered 200 delegates from 67 student organizations from the U.S., China, Russia, Britain, Germany, Turkey, Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Spain, Malaysia and Korea.
