Astana holds events dedicated to International Day against Drug Abuse

ASTANA. June 24. KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeyev/ An event dedicated to the International Day against Drug Abuse is held in the capital of Kazakhstan - Astana today.
Performances of dancing groups and a number of different competitions were held within the framework of the event. The participants and winners of the contests were given prizes.
Besides, a special show and a dancing party is planned to be held near the akimat of Astana from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is a United Nations International Day against drug abuse and the illegal drug trade. It has been held annually since 1988 on 26 June.
