Astana held sitting ahead of 12th session of Subcommittee on Baikonur Complex
ASTANA. September 12. KAZINFORM. /Sara Kabikyzy/ 12th sitting of the Subcommittee on Baikonur Complex of the Kazakh-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation will take place in Baikonyr city on September 23-24.
Two weeks ahead of the event the Kazakh side of the subcommittee held a session in the National Space Agency of Kazakhstan headed by its Chairman Talgat Mussabayev.
Opening the session Mr. Mussabayev noted the importance of more effective work of the subcommittee's members - representatives of the state bodies of Kazakhstan - on solution of problems concerning the Baikonur complex.
The progress of implementation of 26 tasks defined at the previous sitting of the subcommittee and agenda of the forthcoming meeting was considered. The oncoming sitting will be the second one to be held by co-chairs of the two sides - heads of Kazakhstan and Russia's space agencies Talgat Mussabayev and Anatoly Perminov.
