ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Astana food belt satisfy capital's demand in alimentary products only by 20% , this has been announced today by the Mayor of Astana Imangali Tasmagambetov during his visit to an agricultural fair of East Kazakhstan and Kostanay regions.
However, the Mayor stressed there is not food shortages in the capital. Astana dependence from imports from other regions is going down. "Few years ago 72% of food products were imported from another regions, while today this figure has decreased to 52%," said the Mayor.
