Astana discuss issues on international cooperation in social and migration spheres
ANA. June 24. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ International conference titled "Strengthening of regional and interstate cooperation in social, labor and migration spheres in favor of development, stability and security" has started today in Astana; Kazinform reports.
The organizers of the conference are the Kazakh Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, International Organization for Migration, International Labor Organization, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and OSCE Center in Astana.
The experts of the mentioned organizations, representatives of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, EurAsEC and CIS countries, deputies of the Kazakh Parliament, first heads of interested ministries and administrations, representatives of Kazakh Diaspora from China, Mongolia, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan as well as other public unions are taking part in the conference.
"We plan to discuss the issues of international and interregional cooperation in social, labor relations and migration to preserve security and stability in our countries. We will consider the issues of unemployment, social support for population, in the context of the global financial crisis", - Kazakh Minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova said.
The conference is scheduled for two days. Following the results of the conference recommendations and proposals for further development of international partnership in social, labor and migration spheres will be developed as well.
