Astana celebrates Nauryz Holiday
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Massive two-hour theatrical show is taking place on the square in front of "Kazakh Eli" monument in Astana. President Nursultan Nazarbayev has made a congratulatory speech.
The official part of the show began with a performance of Kurmangazy kui called "Sary- Arka" by folk musical instruments orchestra. Then the attention of the audience was attracted to the prolog named "The Holy Spring". The concert program includes T. Asar, A. Okapov, "MuzART", "Zhigitter", "Keshyou", "Konyr", "Assyl", "The Jigits" bands, D. Kudaibergen, "Sazgen Sazy" folk ensemble, "Shattyk", "Saltanat, "Wake-up", "Bakhyt" dance ensembles, and "Eligai" teenage choir. The scenery is arranged involving dance crews, being accompanied by original 3D composition on screens. The repertoire includes modern compositions and traditional songs representing main vocal schools of the folk music culture. Overall more than 1 000 performers will take part in the concert program.
