Astana backs unique business projects and start-ups

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Astana renders support in the frame of technological business incubation programme to physical parties and small innovation enterprises at early stages of their development at home market.

118 applications were submitted to Astana Innovations JSC within the technological business incubation contest. 11 projects have already been realized, five are being currently fulfilled. The projects in the fields of healthcare and cosmetic medicine, energy efficiency, software production and implementation are being successfully realized on the ground of business incubator. One of the most interesting start-ups and ideas under consideration are production of fly larvae birdseed (Fly Farm), diode lightning production shop and unmanned vehicle model. As earlier reported, the technological business incubation programme, operated by Astana Innovations, was launched in 2011 with the support of the Astana akimat. The Astana Innovation business incubator organizes regular roundtables, training and lectures on innovation management and project management involving home and foreign experts. Its aim is to attract young and ambitious people to generating ideas for their further commercialization.
