ASTANA. February 27. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Following the results of the first two days of the population census Almaty and Astana cities have shown low rates. Chairman of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan Anar Meshimbayeva has said it at a briefing in Astana today, Kazinform reports.
?By the results of the first two days Astana and Almaty showed low rates: Astana - 86% of the plan and Almaty - 74%. This will retard the census work and ten days will not be enough?, A. Meshimbayeva said. ?Thus, if Almaty counts 1.3 mln people in ten days then the city budget for the next ten years will be exactly for such number of citizens?.
Totally, during two days of the action 3 246 680 people have been registered.
