Askar Dzhumadildayev becomes first mathematician to receive Hero of Labour of Kazakhstan title
Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences under the Kazakh President Askar Dzhumadildayev has been awarded with the Kazakhstannyn Enbek Eri (Hero of Labour of Kazakhstan) title for the outstanding achievements in science and special merits in social activity, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.
Born in 1956 in Shieli village, Kyzylorda region, Askar Dzhumadildayev is a graduate of the Moscow State University.
Before his appointment as the Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the Kazakh President in 2023, Dzhumadildayev worked in a number of recognized universities of the world, including the University of Hamburg, the University of Munich, Bielefeld University, Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences in Cambridge, the UK, the University of Oxford and others.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the decree to present state awards to a number of Kazakhstanis for their great contribution to the social and economic as well as cultural and spiritual development of the country, strengthening of friendship and cooperation between peoples, active public work ahead of the Day of Republic the country is to mark on October 25.
