Asian Cup 2025 table tennis tournament kicks off in China

The 34th edition of the ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup kicked off in Shenzhen, China, with medals being contested in the singles category, Kazinform News Agency cites Olympic.kz.
On the first day of the event, Kazakhstan's table tennis players achieved the following results:
- Kirill Gerassimenko defeated Taiwan’s Kao Cheng-Jui with a score of 3-2;
- Zauresh Akasheva lost to Shin Yu-bin of South Korea with a score of 1-3;
- Sarvinoz Mirkadirova was upset by Mima Ito from Japan with a score of 0-3.
Today, February 20, Kazakhstan's athletes will compete against the following table tennis players:
- Zauresh Akasheva vs Zhu Chengzhu (Hong Kong)
- Kirill Gerassimenko vs Harmeet Desai (India)
- Sarvinoz Mirkadirova vs Zeng Jian (Singapore)
As reported earlier, three Kazakhstani athletes are to compete at the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals Doha 2025.
