Asiad 2011: Poltoranin added another gold to Kazakhstan's collection

ASTANA. January 31. KAZINFORM Kazakh skier Alexey Poltoranin became the winner in Men's Sprint Classic.

In an intense competition he outstripped his teammate Nikolay Chebotko. The sportsmen went to the final straight in a parallel course, struggling for a victory up to the last meters of the distance. As a result Poltoranin's time was 3 min 59.9 sec that left Chebotko only 0.1 second behind the winner.

The bronze medal goe to Japan's Yichi Onda with 2.6 sec behind the winner. The last participant of the final quartet was Kouhei Shimizu who was the best in qualification. He fell in the middle of the distance and actually left struggle for the medals.
