Asiad 2011: Kazakh biathletes grabbed 4th gold

ALMATY. February 5. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ Kazakhstan dominated a women's biathlon relay at the VII Asian Winter Games on Saturday.

The quartet of Marina Lebedeva, Olga Poltoranina, Inna Mozhevitina and Yelena Khrustaleva started the 4x5-kilometre course easily prevailing over their rivals from China, the Republic of Korea and Japan.

M. Lebedeva completed all her shoots without a mistake. She passed the baton first to O. Poltoranina. Kazakhstan's domination over China became 25 seconds and more than 2 minutes over Korea after the first leg.

O. Poltoranina shot straight and fast, while the Chinese athlete missed three shots. Kazakhstan's Inna Mozhevitina hit all targets in the first shooting stage, but missed one in the second stage. She had to ski extra distance, but all in all the Kazakhstan's team had a 2-minute domination.

Kazakhstani Khrustaleva did not miss a shot, ran her perfect distance ad finished first.
