ASEAN, China friendly organizations conference to be institutionalized
KUALA LUMPUR. July 17. KAZINFORM The 4th Conference on the ASEAN-China People-to-People Friendship Organizations agreed here on Friday that the procedures and arrangement for the annual conference will be institutionalized; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
This was because the mechanism between the two sides had contributed to enhancing bilateral activities, the conference said in the Declaration on ASEAN-China People-to-People Friendship Organizations when it closed here.
The two sides agreed to fix the holding of the annual conference in the fourth week of July while the host country was responsible for coming up with a theme for the particular conference.
Singapore was chosen as the host for the 5th Conference.
The conference also encouraged the friendship associations each to send a minimum of ten participants to join the annual event; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
