ArselorMittalTemirtau launched new production facilities ahead of Independence Day
Karaganda. December 15. KAZINFORM - On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the metallurgical plant JSC ArselorMittalTemirtau launched three production facilities, the press service of the company informs.
The facilities are expected to improve the ecological situation in the region. These are a water treatment complex worth USD 5 million, a system for dust cleaning and degasssing of a converter shop (USD 124 million). The complex and systems are modernly equipped to ensure higher productivity and security.
JSC ArselorMittalTemirtau is part of a multinational company ArcelorMittal and is the largest enterprise in the mining and metallurgical sector in Kazakhstan. It includes the Temirtau steel mill, 8 coal mines in the Karaganda region, 4 iron ore mines in Karaganda Akmola and Kostanay regions.
