Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan said the normalization of bilateral relations did not mean that the fact of 1915 genocide could be put in doubt. ?Today dozens of countries and international organizations recognized the genocide of Armenians, and Armenia welcomes the recognition,? he said. The tragedy commemorated by Armenians on April 24 darkened relations with Turkey for decades. The two neighboring countries have a common 330-km long border, but no diplomatic relations. Turkey denies genocide and urged Armenia to refrain from insisting on international recognition of the genocide, stop supporting Nagorno-Karabakh in the conflict with Azerbaijan and return occupied Azerbaijani territories; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
