"We hope we will sign this important agreement soon and will get the ability to use the huge market of the Customs Union in full," said Armen Khachatryan, BelTA reports.

In his words, it is complicated for Customs Union products to enter the European and American markets. "Meanwhile, we know how to trade with each other. Armenian products are well-known in Belarus. We have opened three large trading houses that sell various Belarus-made products ranging from tractors to apparel," stated the Ambassador. There are plans to open an Armenian trading house in Belarus within the next two-three years, he added.

Armen Khachatryan stressed that the decision to enter the Customs Union is a fundamental one and reflects the opinion of the majority of Armenia residents. "We have always been together with Russia and Belarus, our strategic partners," he stated.
