ASTANA. December 1. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ "Tragic destiny of the Aral Sea should make the whole global community adopt measures on prevention of similar disasters", UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said taking the floor at the OSCE Summit in Astana today.
"We must strengthen our efforts for fighting with climate change. Ecological management of water and energy resources gains more and more importance in the OSCE area too", Ban Ki-moon noted.
"Aral Sea tragedy should make the whole the global community adopt measures on prevention of similar disasters in future and new threats to security", he stressed.
