Anti-corruption program passed in Saint Petersburg

SAINT-PETERSBURG. June 24. KAZINFORM /Yelena Myagkova/  -   An Anti-Corruption Program for 2009-2010 was passed in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. The Program envisages a number of measures and activities targeted to elimination of corruption at all levels of the executive authorities.

In particular, it is planned to conduct a monitoring in Saint-Petersburg, improve interaction between the law enforcement bodies, and improve the structure and authority of the state executive agencies.
The administration of the city also continues receiving phone calls from citizens on the 'hot line'. Since April there have been received 310 reports, and in 43 cases corruption activities have been disclosed.
