Annual inflation in Kazakhstan made 7.4%
ALMATY. February 14. KAZINFORM The coordinated actions of the Government and National Bank of Kazakhstan in ensuring price stability have significantly slowed the rate of inflation. As a result the annual inflation made 7.4% and was within the planned corridor of 6-8%, Chairman of the National Bank Grigory Marchenko told reporters on Tuesday.
Last year inflationary processes were of multidirectional nature. In the first half of 2011 there was some acceleration in inflation associated with a number of structural problems and factors. The most important of them were the unstable situation in the world commodity markets, growth in world commodity prices and food prices, inefficiency of the pricing mechanism, the low level of competition in individual markets of goods and services.
