Ancient Andronov pottery found in Akmola region
KOKSHETAU. KAZINFORM - Pottery fragments found in Akmola region have been confirmed to be attributed to the Andronov culture, as reported Kazinform correspondent Aslan Ospanov.
According to the director of the Center for the protection and use of historical and cultural heritage of the Akmola region Talgat Ibrayev, pottery fragments found in Akmola region near the village of Kenetkol can be attributed to the Andronov culture. "These fragments are very valuable discoveries, they can be 8-10 thousand years old. Such items are mainly typical for Andronov culture. Moreover, there were bronze earrings and rings among the items found", said T.Ibrayev. In general, the work of the expedition, which involves 45 people, will continue for quite a long time.
