American Under Secretary, Kyrgyz President met in Kyrgyzstan
BISHKEK. July 13. KAZINFORM /Vladimir Dobrovolsky/ Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev and Under Secretary of State William Joseph Burns held negotiations in Bishkek last week; Kazinform correspondent reports.
According to the press-service of the Kyrgyz President K. Bakiyev said that Kyrgyz-American relations are successfully developed and expressed hope that the visit of the Under Secretary of State will give a fresh impetus to further development of mutual relations.
W. Burns conveyed good wishes to the Head of Kyrgyzstan and expressed appreciation for signing of the agreement on creation of the transit transportation center in Kyrgyzstan on behalf of American President B. Obama. "This agreement corresponds to the interests of our countries and the region as a whole. The American side highly appraises the efforts of Kyrgyzstan aimed at fight against terrorism and extremism", - he said.
