American activist suggests naming biosphere center in Astana after President Nazarbayev

ASTANA. October 21. KAZINFORM A renowned American economic theorist Jeremy Rifkin suggested naming a biosphere center to be built on the territory of the EXPO-2017 pavilion in Astana after President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The suggestion was made during a seminar "The Fundamentals of the Third Industrial Revolution" delivered by Mr. Rifkin for Kazakhstani government officials and businessmen at the Rixos Hotel in Astana on Monday.

During the seminar J.Rifkin noted that the theme of the EXPO-2017 event "Energy of the Future: challenges and new opportunities" was proposed by the Kazakh side.

According to the American activist, Kazakhstan thanks to its huge hydrocarbon reserves can proceed to the creation of an infrastructure for the new energy system based on the renewable energy sources and the energy internet technology.

J. Rifkin also declared that the territory of the EXPO-2017 may become the heart of the third industrial revolution in the future.
