Amendments to the Law «On Judicial System and Status of Judges» will raise demands of their activities - Supreme Court Chairman

ASTANA. December 18. KAZINFORM - During a working session, Kairat Mami, Chief Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has paid special attention to the realization of the Action Plan on the introduction of the President's instructions given at the VI Congress of Judges on November 20 the current year. This was reported by the press service of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In particular, the President gave instructions on the main directions of judicial system development and improvement of social and material conditions of judges.

"The Head of the state voiced the question of improving material conditions of judges while raising the demands on the quality of their activity. It is necessary to establish a working group in order to develop appropriate amendments for the constitutional law taking into account proposals by chairmen of the supervisory judicial boards and the Central Council of the Union of Judges", said Mami.

The Chairman of the Supreme Court also noted that due to quality requirements strengthening, the President ordered to reconsider the mechanism of court monitoring, evaluate criteria to determine the quality of work of courts and judges.

According to Kairat Mami relevant work is already being carried out.
