Ambassadors' Forum focused on Kazakhstan's int'l security building initiatives

TANA. October 24. KAZINFORM One of the influential think-tanks of Washington, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, headquartered in London, organized a roundtable on Kazakhstan's 20th anniversary of independence as part of a series of Ambassadors' Forum discussions.

Kazakh Ambassador Yerlan Idrissov, the research center authorities and experts, reps of the US military departments attended the debates, the press service of the Kazakh Embassy to the US said.

Kazakhstan's practice and international initiatives aimed at strengthening global security, and the country's economic development were in the spot.

Addressing the gathered, the Kazakh Ambassador laid an emphasis on the history and success of the development strategy of independent Kazakhstan mentioning as instance Kazakhstan's nonproliferation efforts, Kazakhstan's participation in rehabilitation of Afghanistan, regional integration and security initiatives. "Constructivity, consistency, reliability and responsibility are the fundamental principles of Kazakhstan's policy," said the Ambassador.

"Kazakhstan follows the historical way of the development of the most western democracies, including the US, accentuates the market and middle class development, economic diversification, and favorable environment for attraction of foreign investments," Mr Idrissov noted.
