Ambassador Orazbakov made speech at session of Board of Governors of Jewish Agency for Israel (Sochnut)
ASTANA. November 5. KAZINFORM The session of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel (Sochnut) took place in Jerusalem on October 25, 2009. There were discussed the activity issues of the organisation in the post-Soviet territory. Mr. Galym Orazbakov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Israel, and Mr. Boris Shpigel, Member of the Councill of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, have been invited to the session as an honourable guests.
In his speech the head of Sochnut Mr. Natan Sharanski has designated the Agency's problems on immediate prospects in supporting the Jewish diaspora in the CIS countries.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Israel Galym Orazbakov has informed on bilateral Kazakhstan-Israel relations, cooperation prospects between the two countries. In his words the Ambassador has underlined necessity of the further development of interstate communications and activization of trade and economic cooperation. He has told in detail about the history and modern life of the Jewish Community in Kazakhstan and the policy of the Kazakhstan Government in interconfessional and international consent, Kazinform refers to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Israel.
